I nearly forgot about this blog since a lot has happened to me since I graduated. I am now currently working at Resorts World Manila as a Membership Service Associate while I'm still waiting for my braces to get removed. I honestly want to say that I've nearly lost the "thirst" to pursue my dream job, since this month. I'm dating this guy from work which shares the same interest as me in becoming an international flight attendant eventually. Then my thirst comes back once again.

For a year, I moved out of home and been living independently in every aspect. Financially too if you ask. It has been a great struggle but it feels very rewarding since I'm only one of the few noble people who chose this path. It has been a very liberating year for me, since I moved in and out of places, met a lot of new people, fallen in love, learned how to budget, traveled the Philippines, found my religion, learned how to surf and so much more. Before my application at Resorts World Manila, I've been doing events and modeling for several months before decided to start my career now in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. If you've been to NAIA Terminal 3 you would see RW Manila just right across. It's the huge establishment consisting of three six star hotel, (Marriot, Maxims and Remington), three floor casino (the largest casino in the Philippines so far) and the Newport Mall where the finest boutiques and restaurant in the Metro is located. It has been a great experience working in a six star environment but at time you'd always wonder that there's something better out there. And then I met M, he works in the same department as mine, Membership Services, where we handle player accounts, cards, information and promotions, in short we're the front liners of the world class casino. M and I started dating and what fascinated me about him the most is his dream to become a Cabin Crew, which is my ultimate dream too. Hence, started the return of my passion to pursue my dreams once again.

During the past year, I have had the share of too much idle time which lead me to read a series of motivational books from Napoleon Hill, Florence Shinn, Jack Canfield, Robin Sharma and etc. They have helped me through this year to keep on going and never give up. And now i will share to you some tips from the book: "A Success Principles: Getting From Where You are to Where You Want To Be". It is said there that to get to where you are you have to know your destination first, then lock in your focus there and work your way towards it. You also have to know where you stand so it's healthy to take a pause in your life and to start making a self-inventory.

I've been starting to read blogs once again for the Cabin Crew requirements and as of now I only have three major setbacks that's keeping me from applying. And that is:

1. I still have my braces on.
2. I don't know how to swim.
3. I may be underweight for my height. (I'm 5'5'' by the way and I'm only 44kg)

It's now time to start to walk the talk and take swimming lessons and pig out until my braces get removed and I'm good. Welcome back my beloved drive to succeed in my dreams.

It's exactly 13 days before "THE" day. The triumph over all that has been learned. The moment where I would be testifying to the whole world that I have survived sixteen years of attaining an education... It's THE GRADUATION DAY!

I'm sorry in advance, but this post is gonna be lame. I have been REALLY busy since last week, for the upcoming Grand convention and completing all the requirements for my graduation. All the contrails and evaluation forms to fill up. But it's all good! Honestly, I have been wishing to graduate already for months, but now it's finally coming close, I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but I think I'm going to miss studying. But I have to say, I'm much more ready now to pursue on getting my wings. :)

Anyway, yesterday, I went shopping at Ruins and I found this very cute shirt and I bought it right away! Also this gold shoes that I need for the Grand Convention that we all organized to be held at One Esplanade this Sunday!

I figured if I wear it every time, it'll remind me of how much I really wanted to become one. I have to go now, I'll update you soon! Cheers! :)

Since I would be graduating college this March, and that would be two months from now, I guess this would be the perfect time for me to get ready to pursue my dream job as an FA (flight attendant). Before I go on, I would like to compose a pros and cons in seeking a career as an FA.

Pro and Cons of Flight Attendant Career

If you are someone who is keen to travel to different places of the world while earning a reasonable income, career in this field is one of most suitable job in fulfilling your dream of going to various places. (And as for me, I really LOVE traveling!) For the international sector, they usually fly up to a maximum of 90 hours. While away from the base, the airlines provide hotel accommodations and meal allowance during stopover. YUM! Other benefits include getting discounted fares to travel to the destination of your choice for yourself and your immediate family members. Most airlines also offer a permanent discounted fare to their staff who has retired for traveling anywhere in the world. Well, what else could I ask for, right?

One of the disadvantages of this career though is that one will have to work during the holiday seasons and weekends as these are the times when the passengers travel will be at its peak. I've already experienced this when I worked at Gulf Air for practicum, and I had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and also during the New Year's eve. Trust me, it wasn't fun. Dealing with difficult passengers are at times stressful too and one has to have a very long patience for these situations. The irregular sleep and eating patterns may cause medical problems as well in the long run. Breathing of recycled air and having to stay in pressurized environment are also some of the stress to the body that one has to deal with. But all these can be overcome though by having a healthy body, through good food and regular exercises.

So there you go, that's my list of Pros and Cons. Despite all of the disadvantages written above, I still want to become an FA. It's all in the determination. Law of attraction. :P
